Why we built this.
We've spent years working alongside business owners who were smart, capable, and completely hamstrung by their own systems.
They had good teams. They had real customers who valued them. They had more work than they could comfortably handle. But they were running on spreadsheets held together with habit and hope — and every time they tried to fix it with software, they hit a wall.

Bill launched IdeaWeavers in 1999, driven by a belief that business software should be simple enough that people actually use it. For 25 years he's built a reputation for practical solutions, genuine relationships, and deep roots in the Richmond community. He still leads the company — and still gets a kick out of watching field service businesses run smoother because of CommonThread.
Eric Matson
Eric has been building and refining CommonThread since 2008. His design philosophy is simple: clear, clean, and built around how teams actually work — not how software engineers think they should work. Every workflow engine, every dashboard, every field in the platform carries his fingerprints.
Don Moro
